The College is accredited by the Community Health Practitioner’s Board of Nigeria (to run All Community Health Courses) and West African Health Examination Board (WAHEB, to run ALL courses in Environmental Health up to HND Level) and Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN, to run Medical Laboratory Technician Programme).
The College offers medical training for prospective health workers in Community Health, Environmental Health, Public Health Nursing, Medical Laboratory and Computer Studies etc. The training is available to fresh secondary school graduates (who are interested in health-related courses), graduates who desire further training in health disciplines, as well as in-services students courses), graduates who desire further training in health disciplines as well as in -services students and other person with health related qualifications. The high demand for medical personnel of all cadres in the Nigerian Health Sector makes the training not only worthwhile but challenging, deeply fulfilling and profitable.
The College offers standards laboratories which satisfy the requirement of curriculum and a stocked library that has passed the acid test accreditation teams, a library which eases the book needs of the students as well as spacious and well-ventilated classrooms which support the tedious work required for the medical field to guide the students through research, both paper-based and online as well as community diagnosis. The college e-library with modern computers and internet facilities is also complementary. Apart from the strictly academic matters, the school devotes time for the being of its students. Hostel facilities are provided for students who are interested with adequate social amenities.Others events like sport day, Fresher’s day, SUG activities and Health Week all complement the teaching and learning process.
The college is managed by seasoned tutors and administrators. The students of the school receive at the minimum, the same quality of training as is available to the students of institutions in Nigeria.
