Gov. Abiodun Will Perform Beyond People's Expectations In Ogun - Olu Of Itori

One of the First Class traditional rulers in Ogun State, HRM, Oba Abdulfatai Akamo, the Olu of Itori Land, has said he could assure Gov Abiodun will perform beyond people's expectations in Ogun State. He expressed this optimism in a Statement issued by his media aide, Prince Abayomi Gbadebo, in Itori on Saturday.

Gov. Abiodun has got the indispensable and unbeatable experience in the private sector and being a successful Entrepreneur, no doubt, the Gov. will perform.

Reeacting to a trend of "Gov. Abiodun yet to perform as Governor", the monarch said, "It is too early to judge and wrongly criticise any serious and sincere Nigerian Governor who is ready to serve and one, who really knows what he is doing. Some also came in the past and tried to impress our people with some early performances but who were later cursed by same people who earlier praised them. We cannot continue to do things same way different times and expect different or better result. Any serious government would like to take its time to study various sectors as per where to start with a good plan. Similarly, any new government that rushes to execute projects may end up being a failed one. As I understand it, Governor Abiodun, being an administrator and politician, will prefer to take his time to study things and events before actions than rushing into executing projects that may latter be termed as deceit and scam.

This is even better than one trying to prove a magician that he is not. Look for instance, when Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu became the Governor of Lagos in 1999, for more than 5 months, he was still taking his
time to study events and plans. However, when Jagaban kicked start, everybody knows his great impact in Lagos till date.

Thus, I don't believe in rushing things and not getting things right. With the way Gov. Abiodun is operating, I have no doubt that His Excellency, will perform even beyond our expectations. Meanwhile, as a people, we shall continue sending him our prayers and by the grace of God who has chosen him to be our Governor, he will succeed".
