Ogun State Deputy Governor-Elect, Engr. Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele was at the graduation programme of SKATA - Skill and Talent Academy organised by Hon. Abayomi Oke-Asiwaju of Ado-Odo/Ota and she reiterated the new government's commitment to empower the youths of Ogun State.
The Deputy Governor-Elect was impressed with the scheme - SKATA and promised that the State Government will consider adopting it as part of the Youth Development initiatives of Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration.
In his remark, the founder and Provost of SKATA, Hon. Abayomi Oke-Asiwaju told the Deputy Governor-Elect that SKATA is targeted at building the capacity of young people and empowering their dreams. "We can't afford not to harness the potentials of young people and give them a platform to showcase their God-given abilities, else they will be forced to engage in ungodly acts. This is why we created SKATA as a 3 week programme to train participants in their chosen skill or talent ranging from; Fashion Design, Make Up, Photography, Digital Skill, Acting, Dancing, Radio & TV Presentation etc" - Abayomi Oke-Asiwaju.
Hon. Aina Akinpelu, member representing Ado-Odo/Ota 1 State Constituency in Ogun State House of Assembly was equally at the event. Aina who is known for youth empowerment couldn't hide his delight towards the scheme. He gave out cash prizes to deserving participants of SKATA which was presented by the Deputy Governor-Elect.
