In Nigeria, the International Children’s Day is marked annually every May 27. This year, is a special one for kids as 500 children across Ogun State were beneficiaries of Resuce Nigeria program tittled "Make A Child Smile ".
Rescue Nigeria Initiative collaborated with Missak Agency International and Igbalaye Ayodele Foundation to organise and ran a smooth children's day celebration with kids. The purpose of the event was to put a smile on their face, make them forget their worries and assure them of a bright future.
As expected, the children enjoyed the celebration, and the educative lectures from the directors of the NGO, the lecture was to reaffirm and redirect the mind of the children towards living a meaningful and responsible life now and in the future.
The children expressed joy and happiness while receiving gifts items from the sponsors.
The Executive Director/CEO of Rescue Nigeria Initiative, Comrade Oriyomi Oloyede, told journalists on Monday that he was collaborating with like minds in Nigeria, as well as successful personalities to make the Children’s Day remarkable which was a big success.
Oriyomi thanked the founder of Missak Agency International, Chief Mrs Jackie Adunni Kassim and Hon Ayodele Wasiu, the CEO of Igbalaye foundation for their support towards the success of the program, he affirmed that, the NGO is committed to give more support to the children, youth empowerment and community development.
