Some registered political parties in Ogun state on Sunday advised the general public to disregard the ultimatum given by the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC),in the state, on the APC governorship flagbearer , Prince Dapo Abiodun, claiming they are not a party to it.
In a statement bearing the names of some registered parties like the Green Party of Nigeria, Unity Party of Nigeria, Democratic People’s Party, Nigeria Interest Party, Ogun Labour Party and National Interst Party, the stakeholders unanimously disassociate themselves from the said ultimatum, which emanated from one Abayomi Oluwafemi Aramanbi, on behalf of IPAC.
They claimed they were never part of it as there was really no where such meeting on ultimatum was held.
The statement partly reads’’ We the undersigned political parties in Ogun State wish to make it known to the general public that we are not part of the ultimatum given by one Abayomi Oluwafemi Arabambi on behalf of Ogun State Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC).
‘’As Stakeholders in Ogun State Political firmament, the ultimatum given to the Candidate of APC in Ogun State in person of Mr. DAPO ABIODUN should be disregarded.
“There was nowhere a meeting of the majority of IPAC members was called, let alone taken such materially motivated position’’
The statement further explained the role being played by the said Arabambi, saying it is on record he is not an authentic Chairman of Labour party he claims to be.
The parties maintained that he can only be regarded as a factional leader with series of cases with the EFCC.
They therefore urged the general public and Prince Dapo Abiodun himself not to see them as being in support of the said ultimatum
