Who is Mr. Foye Adeniyi?

Mr. Foye Adeniyi is a man that is committed to service and excellence. He grooved into community development and service to humanity. He believes so much in service. He loves to work for his people and to serve his people's in whatsoever ability that will bring advancement to their lives. He also tries to ensure that things are done right, and doing this, he seeks for excellence in all that he wants to do. So that, this can be handed over to the next generation of people who really want to imbibe that culture of service to humanity.

Can you please tell us your background?

Foye is still a young man, born into the popular Foye family (the family of Baba Alo Elebi) of blessed memory. Whom I looked up to so much, Oshoniyi family is my mother side, they are both from Iwopin, Ogun Waterside. They are the one, who cultured the Foye Adeniyi, that you see today. Foye is actually a product of his parent's upbringing. He attended Local Government (LG) Primary school, Iwopin, Ogun Waterside. For secondary education, he went to the Saint Kizitos High School, Iwopin and Ilushin Grammar School, Ilushin, Ogun Waterside. I later proceeded to the Polytechnic of Ibadan, Oyo State for the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Creative Art.

There is something peculiar about my journey.

• I was the Students Union Speaker at the Polytechnic of Ibadan.
• The President, National Association of Ogun Waterside Students (NAOWS) .
• The Secretary, Ogun State Students Polytechnic Ibadan.
• The Public Relation Officer (PRO), Ijebu Students Association.
• The Vice President, Department of Fine Art.
.• The Chairman, Elders Forum Faculty of Environment.
• The Chairman, Electoral Committee Faculty of Environment.
• The Chairman, Electoral Committee Department of Graphics and Printing Technology.

I started work with a private company in Lagos, where I worked for fifteen years, before I established my personal company for further experience and exposure. Thus, I think when God is preparing you for a task, he takes you through that kind of channel. I am also happily married with children.

Innitial attempt into Politics?

Going to Polytechnic of Ibadan, Oyo State, also prepared me for politics. I felt that I could contribute to the development of my area, politics for me, therefore was not just sitting on the fence and do nothing. I have experienced both sides and I have seen that politics is what we all have to participate in, if our villages and towns must develop.

How did you emerge as CDC/CDA Chairman?

It is just God's providence because the leaders of the community believe in me and they felt that I was just the right person for the post. Thought, I contested for the House of Assembly seat in 2015 but, I had to step down my ambition as a sign of loyalty and honour for the party leaders, the progress and development of Ogun Waterside remained second to none in my agenda as I had never for once been inactive or passive in addressing the issues relating to my people. I was however, not discouraged. With this mindset, I felt it was time to prove what I could actually do. I thank the leaders of Ogun Waterside for this gesture.

Tell us the positions you have headed?

• I was the Chairman, CDC, Iwopin, Oni, Alo and Olojumeta till date.
• The CDA Chairman, Iwopin till date.
• The Chairman, All Social Association in Iwopin (Iwopin Social Club of Nigeria) till date.
• Managing Director, Facebrandez, Lagos
• The Chairman, Building Committee, Mowekekere Central Mosque, Ikorodu till date.

Finally, what would you like to be remembered for?

What is important to me is to lay a very strong foundation. I love to be remembered for giving people's the foundation that benefits them. The concept of Assembly post, for me, is not to depend, fully, on government to supply all that we need. What House of Assembly means, is to work in partnership with the companies and communities in the development and actualization of projects and equally partnering with Non-governmental Organizations in providing services to the good of Ogun Waterside.

No Shaking.
We are miles ahead.
Foye Adeniyi is their headache and it is quite uncurable. Victoria Anscert
