The fast growing Ikorodu axis of Lagos State is set to record another boost as the 3rd edition of the much-talked about life-impacting youth-oriented talent showcasing programme tagged Unleash Your Talents is set to hold. UNLEASH, as the event is aptly called, according to Miss Blessing Erivona, the project coordinator, is a youth re-orientation programme designed to discover talents as well as serve as a platform for the promotion of the discovered talents in the entertainment sector of Ikorodu. According to her, “The concept is geared towards encouraging Ikorodu-based youths with special abilities in dance, comedy, music and modelling to achieve and actualize their dreams. The event, which is an initiative of FANAFILLIT Integrated Concepts (the brains behind the highly successful Miss Institutes Beauty Pageant), also aims to enhance the growth of the entertainment industry in Ikorodu, boost the socio-economic growth of the division and provide avenue for youths to channel their energy towards productive ventures. This year’s UNLEASH, which is being packaged in collaboration with CD Solution, will hold on Sunday, June 29, 2014, with leading telecommunications giant, Airtel Nigeria, Intercontinental Distillers, Dansa Foods, Diamond Bank, O'jez Records, Legendary Gold, Glorious Opportunity, and a host of Ikorodu-based firms like Mo' Creations Couture, Owambe Clothings, Kolex Party House, Abvic Executive Hotel & Suites, D'Jos Hotel, Mitland Suites, Lukham Hotel, among others as sponsors.
