Popular Liberian actor, Gregory Artus Frank, is set to release an all-Liberian film titled Drive. The Human Resources Management degree holder from AME University in Monrovia told YES INTERNATIONAL! from his movie location in Liberia during an exclusive chat on Thursday, April 10, 2014, that: “I'm currently in Liberia and I'm working on a project out of the seven projects that I've outlined for this year. This is one of the projects called Drive. It's a Liberian story, a nice movie that is going to hit international scene by the grace of God because I've invested up to $17,000 on it. I've been on the project for almost two months now because I'm the one who is producing and directing it as well. It is an all-Liberian artiste project. I decided to do this after my tedious days of working in Nigeria and Ghana. I've decided to come back home and give to my people in any form I can contribute to the growth of the industry in my country. I appreciate Ghollywood and Nollywood for contributing to my career immensely”. Frank also told us that contrary to reports that he's relocated to his native country, Liberia, he is still based in Ghana with all his family. “I just came to Liberia to work and I will go back when the project is over. I stay more in Nigeria and Ghana, and I believe nothing is wrong with that. I just took this time out to contribute to my country and that is why I've decided to direct this project, while subsequent projects won't be directed by me”. On the movie, Drive, he said: Drive is basically about two friends who wanted to do business and one of them felt cheated and got his friend and his entire family killed, forgetting that one of his sons, a little boy, was around, and years later, the boy came back for revenge. We used helicopters, flights and other good scenes in the movie. We hired chorographers for some martial arts, which makes it so good. I've gained a lot from other artistes and I need to let my light burn in other artistes' lives as well. That is why we need to explore other English speaking African countries where we can contribute our own quota. I'm also planning to put up a production studio in Liberia because I know I have to do more as an ambassador of movies in Liberia. I need to do more and that is what I'm working on and that is why I'm using the raw talents from my country who are not celebrities yet”. The Universal Achievement Award winner for the Best Actor, from Ghollywood in 2013, concluded that aside Liberia, the movie locations were Sierra Leone and Ohio, in USA.
